Freeberry at the EU-Startups Summit: Reflecting on Our Time in Malta

Freeberry team at Malta

Back in May, Freeberry had the opportunity to attend the 10th anniversary of the EU-Startups Summit in Malta, and although a few months have passed, the impact of this incredible event is still with us. We wanted to take a moment to share our reflections, experiences and key takeaways from this exciting gathering.

Why Malta?

You may be wondering, why Malta? In addition to its breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage, Malta is establishing itself as a hotspot for startups and technological innovation in Europe. It’s a place where entrepreneurship thrives, supported by a favourable business environment and a rapidly growing tech community.

For us, at Freeberry, the summit provided an ideal platform to meet with like-minded professionals, exchange ideas, and present our services in a setting that fosters innovation.

The Event: A Hub of Energy and Ideas

The EU-Startups Summit was a remarkable event that served as a hub for creativity, knowledge, and forward-thinking ideas. From the moment we set up our booth, we could feel the energy in the air. The exhibition hall was packed with startups eager to make their mark, investors scouting for the next big thing, and industry leaders sharing their wisdom on everything from scaling businesses to the future of tech.

For us, the summit was a chance to share what Freeberry is all about. We met so many entrepreneurs curious about our virtual company services—whether it was VAT invoicing, invoice management, or EU company registration—and how we help freelancers and solopreneurs streamline their operations. It was incredibly rewarding to see how many people resonated with what we offer.

As our CEO, Roman Ivanov said:

“The EU-Startups Summit was an amazing opportunity to connect with entrepreneurs who are as passionate about growth and innovation as we are. It was a chance to share our vision and learn from the incredible people we met.”

Head of sales, Pavel Fillipov also shared his thoughts:

“We not only found new clients but also received valuable feedback, both in the form of praise and constructive criticism, which will help us refine our products further. ”

Our Key Takeaways

The summit was a reminder of the importance of community. Yes, there was a lot of tech talk and business strategy, but at the core, it was all about connecting with people who are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. We had so many meaningful conversations—not just about what Freeberry offers, but about the real challenges startups face today.

The event’s speakers and panel discussions were equally inspiring. From learning about emerging trends to hearing the personal stories of successful entrepreneurs, the summit gave us a wealth of ideas that continue to influence how we approach our work at Freeberry.

Looking Ahead

Even though a few months have passed since the summit, the connections we made are still fresh. We’re excited about the partnerships and potential collaborations that began in Malta, and we look forward to building on the momentum. If there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that innovation thrives when people come together to share ideas.

We remain committed to helping startups and small businesses grow by offering them the tools they need to focus on what matters most—their business.

To everyone we met at the summit, thank you for the inspiring conversations and feedback.

We’re excited about what’s to come!
